Japan hates trees

It’s time for my latest contribution to the “Ugly Japan” series.

Here is a picture showing that once again, Japan hates trees. I could do a whole series of pictures of maimed and amputated trees.

This is how one of the largest trees on my side of campus looked like this morning. Why? Why even have trees if it’s to do that to them? I just can’t.

And then you wonder why there is no shade anywhere and why it’s so hot in Japanese (covered with concrete and pavement exclusively) streets in summer. 🤦

Among other things.
