I want to wish you all a very happy new year 2023!
I’ll be brief, just an old postcard, although it’s a bit more recent than the other old postcards I usually post here (and one of my new year’s resolutions is to post more of them.)
And here is the other side:
Translation:
Dear Godfather and Godmother,
I’m sending you this card to wish you a Happy New Year 1946 from all of us. I hope this little girl must be (sic) very cute. Kisses to the whole family. Here, everyone is healthy.
Ida
One of the advantages of this card being more recent is that I know who’s writing it and who is alluded to in the card. The person writing, Ida, is one of my grandmother’s nieces. She only died two years ago, and I knew her (although, I must have been a teen or a young adult the last time I saw her). And the little girl she’s alluding to is my dad’s younger sister, aka my aunt, and she’s still doing well.
That’s all for today.
See you very soon.
