This week’s Inktober 52 prompt was wood.
I started by trying to draw some wood textures, but I was not very pleased with them:
Then, I had an idea. I could merge this Inktober 52 prompt with my “drawing kanji” endeavor.
And this is the result:
And with some colors:
This kanji: 木 (“ki”, sometimes “gi”) means both “wood” and “tree.” I mean wood as a material, wood as in a small forest is 林. Yes, that’s basically two trees. And what about a forest? Well, it’s bigger, at least three trees, so: 森. 🙂
